For Christmas, I received a laptop. It was a refurbished Compaq Presario V5201 Notebook. As I was getting aquainted with the laptop, I tried to lift the battery out. I pulled back the realease switch and lifted out the battery, but it got stuck. The battery would not come out and the release switch was pulled all the way to the release side. It was not a fault of my own, it had to be something to do with the refurbished laptop as I have lifted many laptop batteries out.
We tried to take it back to Fry's to see if they could fix it. They could not. We asked if we could exchange it. And they said no beacause we didn't buy the extended warranty. We told them it came with the warranty for ninety days and it had only been fifteen. They said too bad.
They couldn't do a dang thing for us and we even had to get the store manager to allow us just to return it. I am now laptopless. This is one of the many bad Fry's trips we've had.

Did you attempt to contact the manufacture of the laptop? They are the one's who are providing the 90 day warranty, not Fry's. Their return policy is pretty clear...15 days on notebooks.
